Denver, CO – Jan. 10, 2007– Merlin International, one of the nation’s fastest growing federal IT solutions providers today announced that they have been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the Department of Veterans Affairs for Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Contractor Services (VCS). The award has a potential maximum aggregate value of $1 billion for the potential 10-year term.
Through this award, Merlin joins a select group of integrators and solutions providers who can quote on individual projects as they are issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
“Veterans are a priority to both the federal government as well as to Merlin. We are committed to delivering the tools and services that those who have served this country in active military service require once they return to civilian life,” said John Trauth, executive vice president of government systems, Merlin International. “We are dedicated to implementing a robust infrastructure that facilitates many of the common administrative tasks that can create unnecessary delays in this vital support system.”
If Merlin is awarded task orders associated with this BPA, the company will work with key subcontractors, CACI and High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTi) on individual projects. CACI has worked with the VHA for several years and currently provides preferred facility-based actuarial projection models and a report writer so that the VHA staff can produce customized models. HPTi, has worked with the agency the past three years, providing technical assistance for various projects at the VHA.
